Barracas was developed during the Master’s Degree in Typography at the University of Buenos Aires. The typeface rescues and values the history and idiosyncrasy of the Barracas neighborhood of the City of Buenos Aires, either from its morphology or from the premise with which it was created, the «contrast of situations» that occur in it. It is a high-contrast, elegant font with a strong presence, with robust finishes and versatile variables that make it ideal for different uses. Barracas stops in the past to build towards the future. The system is comprised of 5 styles, Regular, Italic, Poster, Poster Italic and Stencil.
